Hospital Foundation Money Stays Here!
As a sitting board member and President of the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation (FHC Pontiac) rumours have once again come to my attention asking if all the money donated to the Foundation stays in the Pontiac or if it is transferred to Gatineau. Without reservation, I can assure all Pontiac residents who have donated to the Community Hospital that their money stays here, to be used at our hospital. Under no circumstance is any money transferred to Gatineau.
For example, over the past 10 years, $661,653 has been generously donated to assist in the building of our new Dialysis Unit. This unit is badly needed in the Pontiac and I’m pleased to report it will be up and running later this fall. The Foundation is currently holding the money in a GIC and will be releasing it to help fund the unit as required.
If anyone has questions about how the money is distributed, please reach out to the Foundation office or me and we’ll be more than happy to answer.
