SUPPORTING PATIENT CARE AND SERVICES IN THE PONTIAC SINCE 1992
The Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation acts as an intermediary between the Pontiac community and the medical community to maintain and develop comprehensive local services adapted to the needs of our population.
Projects are funded by individual and corporate donors, and by group fundraising activities, such as Pontiac Pride and the Quyon Lions’ Club who raised the necessary funds to purchase equipment for the Step Down Unit (SDU), the Foundation’s first project, organised under the chairmanship of Dr. Thomas O’Neill.
Over the years the Foundation has been actively involved in creating funding projects aimed at improving or expanding local medical services. Such projects include:
- Cataract surgery;
- Dialysis treatment;
- Otoscopy exams;
- Colonoscopy exams.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the people of Pontiac no longer have to travel to Gatineau or Ontario to obtain treatments or exams that are in great demand.
The Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation is a registered Canadian public foundation since April 1, 1993.
